Your first appointment is a private, 90-minute experience at our Charlottesville boutique. Your stylist will begin with a consultation about your wedding venue, aesthetic, and the feeling you want to capture in your gown. Based on your conversation, your stylist selects a curated group of gowns for you to try. You work through the options at your own pace with hands-on guidance. There are no other brides in the salon during your appointment — the space and our full attention are entirely yours.

How many guests can I bring to my appointment?

We welcome up to 3 guests in addition to the bride. Keeping your group small creates a more focused, pressure-free experience and makes it easier to trust your instincts. We recommend bringing the people whose opinions you value most. If you would like to bring a larger party or need special accommodations, please let us know ahead of time.

Wear or bring nude, seamless undergarments — a strapless bra or sticky cups are ideal for most gown styles. If you have a heel height in mind for your wedding day, bring those shoes or a similar pair to get an accurate sense of length. Bring any accessories you are considering, and come with an open mind. We also ask that you avoid heavy makeup or spray tans to help protect our sample gowns.

Yes. All gowns at The One Bridal Salon are made-to-order. The dresses you try on during your appointment are samples. Once you find the one, we take your measurements and order your gown in the size recommended specifically for you. Production timelines typically run 4 to 6 months.
